Angela Nichols RN

Angie Nichols earned an Associate of Applied Science in nursing from Motlow State Community College and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Middle Tennessee State University. She has been a practicing registered nurse for more than 25 years and has received extensive training in the areas of health and wellness, nutrition, fitness and preventive medicine.

In 2015, Angie became a member of an elite group of practitioners certified in advanced bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. She has lectured at many educational seminars regarding the various benefits of bioidentical hormone therapy. John Keith Nichols, M.D. is the Medical Director and CEO of Tier 1 Health and Wellness, the premier preventive medicine clinic in the Southeast. He and his wife, Angie, have developed an evidence-based program dedicated to promoting optimal mental, physical and sexual health throughout the aging process. Mike Sharp

Mike Sharp is the Billing and Front Office manager of Tier 1 Health and Wellness. As a native of Chattanooga, he proudly served our country for six years in the U.S. Army Airborne Infantry while stationed in Vicenza, Italy and deployments to Afghanistan. He holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Administration from Virginia College, and is currently an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Health Sciences with plans to pursue a Physician Assistant degree. His interests include health, nutrition, fitness, physical training, physiology, and competing in Men’s Classic Physique shows. He also enjoys the many outdoor activities that Chattanooga has to offer such as hiking, fishing, and running.

Scott Howell, Ph.D.

Scott Howell, Ph.D., CSCS is the Research Director of Tier 1 Health and Wellness, Center for Clinical Research. He is an epidemiologist, exercise physiologist and mechanical engineer with research interests in the long-term safety of therapeutic androgen use, endocrine disrupting chemicals exposure, and preventative medicine. His personal interests include research methods, biostatistics, adaptations to physical training, illicit androgen abuse, and philosophy.

Dr. Howell is an author with expertise spanning many fields. His authorships include a recent sport science text, Integrated Periodization in Sports Training and Athletic Development, coauthored with Dr. Tudor Bompa, University of Toronto, and Dr. James Hoffmann, East Tennessee State University. He has also served as a subject matter expert on applied periodization of physical training and the risks involved with illicit doping in sports and bodybuilding.
